I am a highly acclaimed British photographer, who brings a wealth of experience from a career that spans over three decades.

Based in the South East and work throughout the UK and overseas. I specialise in photographing people of all ages, their loved ones including all the things they love and appreciate in their life.

I just love what I do – connecting with people to creativity craft photographs unique to each individual – it really doesn’t feel like a ‘job’.

Creativity

To me it feels natural to connect with you to capture moments in your life to evoke emotions to treasure forever. Life is a continuous story of fleeting moments and I feel privileged to be able to photograph yours. My experience allows me to shoot quickly, intuitively, and spontaneously – so our time together is never dull and time-consuming. Capturing candid expressions, the ever changing natural light and so many other things that contribute to your finished photograph – leaving you to enjoy the beauty of the end result – as bespoke wall art to adorn your home, or a tailor-made book to grace the finest tables and bookshelves.

Education

I was educated in the art of photography at the tender age of 16 at a local portrait and commercial studio – in the days when a roll of film was loaded into cameras and processed in a dark room not Lightroom – on a three-year apprenticeship. Fast forward 20 years – in 1997 I opened the doors to SMS Creative Photography - a leading high street portrait studio in Surrey, England.

Over the decades I have built a fantastic reputation as an expertly skilled photographer, by capturing subjects with their family and friends, with treasured possessions, with personal collections and in corporate environments, it really is all about, People – Identity – Lifestyle.

Evolution

With the passing of time, I too have evolved. I moved from the high street in the summer of 2019 to work remotely and now trade as Stella Scordellis - ‘Stella’ is a brand name of SMS Creative Photography Limited – continuing to photograph your lifestyle and personal collections – exclusively for private clients and businesses worldwide, creating provenance and a legacy – for you, your loved ones, and VIP clients. 

Year after year

Clients return year after year to capture special moments and landmark times in their forever-evolving lives. I always look forward to welcoming you – to work on new and fresh ideas and projects. For example – a new home & garden to capture a renovation for posterity in a tailor-made book. A landmark birthday to add to the wall art collection, a photoshoot overseas to remember a family holiday to add another volume to the book collection. A portrait to hang in the Boardroom – or wherever your imagination and time take you…

Diversity

My diverse commissions have taken me far and wide on international assignments, from the World Cruise on the QE2, to Boyzone and Cher opening the Harrods sales back in the day when this was a highlight on the Harrods calendar – to the infamous Jeremy Clarkson for an exclusive book on Ferrari, to photographing some of the world’s leading car events, including behind the scenes at the British Grand Prix. To working with individuals to capture family gatherings and landmarks in time to treasure forever.
